About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar, you help ensure a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, promptly serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. You assist guests with menu choices, respond professionally to questions and requests, and coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to support smooth restaurant operations. The role also includes promoting specials and additional items, following food safety and alcohol-service policies, and accurately handling payments. Training is provided; prior serving experience is preferred but not required. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime compensation under applicable regulations. Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and address guest questions, concerns, and special requests professionally.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the restaurant POS system, and check them before submitting to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide requested items, condiments, and accompaniments.
Set up and clean tables, maintain and stock the dining area, and assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and requests to team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, beverages, and additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, food safety regulations, company policies, and alcohol-service procedures.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
