About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar, you help ensure a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and keeping the dining area clean and organized. You work with guests and restaurant team members to support smooth operations and contribute to an enjoyable visit. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays, and bend, stoop, and reach as needed. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. The position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation under applicable regulations. Compensation includes tips, with opportunities for advancement within the restaurants.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and explain food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt and courteous service and address guest questions, concerns, and special requests professionally.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and check them for accuracy before submitting them to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards, ensuring meals have appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Monitor guests’ needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide additional items as requested.
Set up and clean tables before and after guest use, and keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked.
Assist with general restaurant cleaning, including dishwashing as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to support efficient restaurant operations.
Communicate guest feedback and special requests to appropriate team members.
Promote specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including food safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
