About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar, you help create a positive dining experience by delivering attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. You assist guests with menu selections, respond professionally to questions and requests, and coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to support smooth restaurant operations. The role also involves promoting specials and additional items, handling payments, and following food safety and alcohol-service policies. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
Help guests select menu items and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt and courteous service throughout the meal, addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the restaurant’s POS system, and verify them before sending them to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards, ensuring meals include appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide additional items as requested.
Set up and clean tables before and after guest use; keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Assist with overall restaurant cleanliness, including dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and special requests to team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, food safety regulations, company policies, and procedures for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
