About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar in Montgomery, you help create a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, and serving food and beverages promptly. You maintain a clean and organized dining area and work collaboratively with restaurant team members. Training is provided. Requirements

Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift trays of food and beverages, carry trays, and bend, stoop, and reach as needed.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
Help guests choose menu items and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and professionally address guest questions, concerns, and special requests.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the restaurant's POS system, and check them for accuracy before submitting them to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards, ensuring meals include the appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear empty plates, and provide requested items.
Set up and clean tables and keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Assist with restaurant cleanliness, including dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to support smooth restaurant operations.
Communicate guest feedback and special requests to appropriate team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including food safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
