About The Position

The Server welcomes residents, helps create an inviting dining-room environment, prepares tables and food-service items, and maintains a clean community dining area. The role also involves observing residents’ dining habits and communicating concerns or unusual changes to supervisors and Wellness staff.

This part-time position is at Boulevard Wentzville in Wentzville, Missouri. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15 to $22.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, make them feel welcome, and be present and engaging in the dining room.
• Help foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables, salads for upcoming meals, and silverware for service.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to help maintain a clean community.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals are observed.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
