About The Position

The Server works at The Riverside Senior Living in North Little Rock, Arkansas, helping create a welcoming and engaging dining experience for residents. The role includes greeting residents, being present and sociable in the dining room, preparing dining areas and food-service items, and keeping the dining environment clean and orderly. Servers also communicate observations about residents’ dietary habits, appetite changes, or absences from meals to supervisors and Wellness staff. The position is full-time, with Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday schedules and shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15 to $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and a willingness to work with residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, help them feel welcome, and be present and sociable in the dining room.
Mingle and entertain residents and foster an environment where they can connect.
Prepare tables and dining areas for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a clean and orderly community.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, or residents absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
