About The Position

The Cocktail Server provides exceptional beverage service in Hotel Carmichael’s bars, lounges, and outlets. The role delivers professional, friendly, and efficient guest experiences while following property service standards, safety protocols, and responsible alcohol service guidelines. The Cocktail Server works closely with bartenders, food runners, and outlet management to provide seamless service and enhance guest satisfaction. Additional tasks may be assigned or revised by management based on business volume and current work needs.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages under local regulations.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to carry trays, glasses, and beverages weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
• Ability to work in a bar or lounge environment, including exposure to heat and crowded conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in cocktail or beverage service preferred; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage service techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally, providing menus and information about beverage offerings.
• Take and deliver cocktail and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe bar stations, service areas, and guest seating areas.
• Recommend beverages and answer questions about cocktails, beverages, and pairings.
• Check identification to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with bartenders and team members to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Process payments accurately and follow cash-handling procedures when applicable.
• Assist with setup, restocking, and closing of the bar or outlet as required.
• Participate in team meetings and training to maintain service excellence and product knowledge.
