About The Position

The Server welcomes residents and helps create a friendly, engaging dining-room environment. The role includes greeting and interacting with residents, preparing tables and food-service items, keeping the dining area clean, and notifying supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents missing meals. The position is part-time at Castlewood in Nixa, Missouri, with scheduled shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Must have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
Be present in the dining room, mingle with residents, entertain, and foster opportunities for residents to connect.
Prepare tables, salads for the next meal, and silverware for service.
Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community dining area tidy.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
