About The Position

The Server welcomes residents and helps create a warm, social dining environment. The role includes being present in the dining room, preparing for meal service, keeping dining areas clean, and communicating resident dining concerns to supervisors and Wellness. This is a part-time position at Castlewood in Nixa, Missouri, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, make them feel welcome, and foster opportunities for residents to connect.
Be present in the dining room, mingle with residents, and help entertain them.
Prepare tables and food items such as salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain clean dining areas.
Notify supervisors and Wellness when residents show poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or are absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
