About The Position

The Server at Castlewood in Nixa, Missouri, welcomes residents and helps create an engaging dining-room atmosphere where they can connect. The role includes preparing tables and food-service items, maintaining clean dining areas, and communicating observations about residents’ appetites or meal attendance to supervisors and Wellness. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$22.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive and energetic attitude and a willingness to work with residents.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain clean dining areas.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, and when residents are absent from meals.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
