About The Position

The Server is responsible for greeting and seating customers, taking food and drink orders, sending food orders to cooks, delivering completed orders, and inviting customers to return. The role assists customers with food and beverage selections by presenting menus, offering suggestions, explaining specials, recommending appropriate items such as desserts, and answering general questions. Servers follow up on customer requests courteously and promptly, monitor the dining process, clear dishes, and refill beverages. The position also follows sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect the company and its customers, and contributes to team results as needed. The wage is $1 per hour plus tips. The schedule is Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. The primary location is Portland.

Requirements

A strong service-related background and a hospitality mindset.
Ability to obtain an Oregon Food Handler's Certificate and OLCC Server's Permit within 30 days of hire.
Desire to accommodate a wide variety of personalities to achieve the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

Experience in high-volume restaurants or lounges is strongly preferred.
MICROS experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
