About The Position

The Server welcomes residents and helps create a welcoming dining-room environment by being present, engaging with residents, and encouraging social connection. The role includes preparing tables and food items for service, rolling silverware, bussing tables, and sweeping floors. Servers also communicate with supervisors and Wellness when they observe poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents missing meals. The position is PRN (as needed) at Princeton in Lee's Summit, Missouri, with a pay range of $15–$22 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables and food items, such as salads, for meal service, and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a tidy community dining environment.
• Inform supervisors and Wellness of poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, or residents absent from meals.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
