About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server at Buckingham in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and the pay range is $15–$22 per hour. The Server helps create a welcoming dining experience for residents by greeting and engaging them, preparing for meal service, maintaining a tidy dining area, and communicating observations about residents’ eating habits and attendance to supervisors and Wellness staff.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and a willingness to work with residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Obtain criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, help them feel welcome, remain present in the dining room, mingle and entertain, and foster opportunities for residents to connect.
Prepare tables and food items for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community dining area tidy.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, and residents’ absences from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
