About The Position

Greenwood Village South is hiring a part-time Server for its Life Plan Community in Greenwood, Indiana. The community serves more than 750 residents across independent and assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and long-term care. The Server helps provide a positive dining experience for residents and their guests by taking orders, answering menu questions, serving meals, and keeping dining and work areas clean and sanitary. The role involves working collaboratively with residents, guests, families, visitors, supervisors, and peers in a fast-paced environment.

The schedule is 4:00–8:30 p.m. on weeknights and 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. on weekends, for approximately 16–20 hours per week. Starting pay is $14 per hour, with experience pay and shift differentials.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Ability to interpret and explain the menu, answer or refer questions, coordinate the meal service process, and understand requests.
• Ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers.
• Courtesy, tact, and graciousness.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set tables and keep workstations in proper order.
• Take orders and provide timely service.
• Answer questions about the menu and explain menu items as needed.
• Clear dishes from tables and after meal service.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Help maintain a high level of customer service for residents and their guests.
• Assist with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes when needed.
• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
