About The Position

The Server VIP Club provides food and beverage service while delivering superior customer service to guests and team members. The role includes greeting guests, sharing information about daily specials and company services, assisting with menu and beverage selections, and ensuring guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to complaints. Servers are expected to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance and follow sanitation and safety practices. The position requires transporting trays or plates weighing up to 50 pounds, standing through an eight-hour shift, and moving efficiently throughout the restaurant and kitchen. The work environment may involve varying levels of smoke, crowds, and noise depending on customer volume.

Requirements

• Familiarity with food, beverage, and wine service.
• Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Stable work history.
• Typically, one year of food-serving experience in a full-service restaurant; related education and experience may be interchangeable year for year.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to transport trays and/or plates weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and interact positively with guests and team members, including handling difficult guest interactions.
• Greet guests promptly and courteously and inform them of daily specials and other offerings.
• Provide information about the company’s services and facilities.
• Assist guests with menu and beverage selections using thorough menu and product knowledge.
• Notify a supervisor, manager, or line chef when food products are not properly prepared.
• Check food quality and respond to guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance and perform duties with attention to sanitation and safety.
• Anticipate, identify, and address guest needs.
• Transport trays and plates weighing up to 50 pounds and serve food and beverages.
• Take orders, recite specials, and point out specific menu items to guests.
• Move effectively and efficiently throughout the restaurant and kitchen area.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members at all levels.
