Beach Club Server
About The Position
The Beach Club Server assists with food and beverage service and guest attention at the Beach Club. The role supports set-up, clear communication, and teamwork while maintaining the Club’s standard for excellence. The position is seasonal for the upcoming 2026–2027 season. The server prepares tables, chairs, and umbrellas in the Pool Deck and Beach areas; attends to guests upon arrival; takes orders and enters them into the JONAS POS system; and serves meals in a poolside setting. The role also provides beverages and towel service, observes and responds to guest needs, clears and resets tables or counters, and completes closing side work. Servers follow direction from supervisors and management and comply with food and beverage safety and sanitation policies and training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to perform the listed essential duties, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
- Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; frequently stand and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Beach Club areas, including tables, chairs, and umbrellas on the Pool Deck and beach.
- Provide immediate attention to guests upon arrival.
- Take accurate orders and enter order details into the JONAS POS system.
- Serve all courses in a poolside setting with friendly, attentive service.
- Offer wine, coffee, water, and other beverages before, during, and after meals.
- Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are complete.
- Clear and reset counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
- Provide towel service to members and guests.
- Complete closing side work, including bussing glasses, dishes, and silverware.
- Take directives from supervisors and management.
- Follow Club food and beverage handling safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
