About The Position

The Beach Club Room Attendant is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms and suites and reports maintenance deficiencies to ensure rooms meet hotel standards. The role includes cleaning guest rooms, replenishing linens and amenities, maintaining the room attendant’s cart, greeting guests, and responding to guest requests. The attendant also provides information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions and assists coworkers as requested.

The position has regular contact with guests and other Housekeeping Associates. It reports to the Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping Manager, and Housekeeping Supervisor. Requirements

• Six months to one year of cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to walk or stand to a significant degree and to reach, handle, feel, talk, hear, and see.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
• Six months to one year of cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned rooms and suites, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows and tracks.
• Report rooms as clean and available.
• Report maintenance deficiencies to maintain rooms in compliance with hotel standards.
• Strip dirty linens and towels and remove used amenities from rooms and suites.
• Keep the Room Attendant’s cart stocked.
• Greet guests promptly with a friendly and sincere acknowledgement.
• Replenish linen and guest amenities.
• Clean balconies when applicable.
• Respond to guest special requests, such as providing extra amenities or accommodating service-time requests.
• Provide guests with information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions.
• Assist coworkers as requested.
