About The Position

The Server Assistant supports restaurant operations by clearing and resetting tables, maintaining a clean floor, bringing dishware to the dish pit, and assisting servers with drinks, food running, and pre-bussing. The role also includes serving water to guests and performing other duties as directed by management. The position involves repetitive motion, frequent standing and walking, and occasional lifting of furniture and other items.

Requirements

• Ability to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Positive attitude when working with peers.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife-handling skills.
• Understanding of sanitation.
• Knowledge of employment and merchandise-handling procedures.
• Ability to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening, and repetitive motion.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Clear plates and glassware from tables after guests leave.
• Reset tables.
• Maintain a clean floor throughout the restaurant.
• Bring dishware to the dish pit for cleaning.
• Assist servers with refilling drinks, running food, and pre-bussing tables.
• Fill guests' water and tea.
• Serve water to guests upon arrival.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
