About The Position
This position leads and directs the Tyson Transportation fleet to achieve business and financial objectives. It provides functional supervision for other members of the work unit, including assigning work and training lower-level positions. The role is based at the Springdale, Arkansas terminal office and is listed as first shift. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the job’s physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position requires 1–5 domestic trips per year.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three or more years of Tyson transportation experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with Tyson Business Computer Systems, including Sale Inventory, SAP Transportation, and Warehousing Systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage drivers.
- Manage on-time service.

- Oversee driver safety and compliance.
- Assign and select loads.
- Execute the trailer pool plan.
- Manage driver expenses.
- Assign work and train lower-level positions as a team leader providing functional supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
