About The Position

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field-based role responsible for driving demand for Bristol Myers Squibb medicines within an assigned portfolio and territory for appropriate patients. The TAS engages healthcare providers (HCPs) through differentiated customer experiences and deeper, label-consistent scientific dialogue, while prioritizing safe and appropriate product use and achieving business performance objectives. The role builds and maintains professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians and other HCPs, medical groups, office staff, and stakeholders across the patient care continuum. The TAS serves as a primary point of contact and collaborates with other BMS functions to address HCP needs in a timely, scientific manner. The position is expected to spend much of its time in the field with external customers. The TAS promotes approved product indications, develops territory and account plans, presents scientific information, organizes approved speaker programs, gathers customer insights, and works cross-functionally to improve the customer experience. The role requires compliant conduct and strong scientific, commercial, analytical, digital, and collaborative capabilities. Employment offers are contingent on meeting the company’s qualified-driver requirements because the position requires operating a company-provided vehicle.
