About The Position

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager II to join their Technical Product Evangelism team. This role bridges product marketing and developer advocacy, focusing on creating technical content to communicate DigitalOcean's narrative to sophisticated technical audiences, particularly in the AI space. The ideal candidate will translate complex technical ideas into compelling content for keynotes, talks, social media, and hands-on workshops, supporting the company's goal of becoming the cloud for AI builders. This position requires a strong technical background, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to work closely with executives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical marketing, product marketing, solutions engineering, developer relations, or technical content, with work consumed by technically sophisticated audiences.
  • Sufficient technical depth to be credible with AI engineers and infrastructure teams, with hands-on ability to build working demos, record product walkthroughs, explain inference economics, and compare products to competitors.
  • Fluency with AI-assisted creation tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) for rapid content development.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with a portfolio of talks, decks, or campaigns developed for oneself or others.
  • Experience working directly with executives or senior leaders on content.
  • Comfort taking a brief and executing against it to serve the company's narrative priorities.
  • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.
  • Regular in-person presence at Bay Area events is core to the role.

  • Experience at an AI infrastructure, developer tools, or cloud company.
  • An existing presence or network in the SF AI/developer community.
  • Experience producing workshop or hands-on lab content.
  • An active technical presence on X (formerly Twitter) with an engaged audience of AI practitioners.

Responsibilities

  • Create speaker content for DigitalOcean's technical leaders and deliver some of it yourself.
  • Own the decks, narratives, and preparation for executives and senior leaders presenting at third-party conferences and industry events.
  • Partner directly with executives to translate their ideas into compelling technical stories and manage content from CFP to stage.
  • Produce technical content for social media channels, including videos, demos, threads, and posts, in partnership with the Social team.
  • Build and run brand-aligned technical campaigns, including hands-on labs, workshop materials, and in-person programming for enterprise AI-native accounts.
  • Represent DigitalOcean in the San Francisco technical community by attending and participating in meetups, conferences, hackathons, and other relevant events.
