Senior Technical Architect

Braze•New York City, NY

About The Position

Braze’s Expert Services team is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to own project delivery and technical solutioning across a portfolio of customer projects. Depending on each engagement, the role may lead end-to-end delivery, take responsibility for technical architecture and integration work, or combine both. The position works with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Delivery Managers, and Technical Architects to help customers achieve rapid time to value and optimal return on their Braze investment. The role moves between project delivery and technical ownership. It includes managing customer implementation engagements from onboarding through go-live, designing and implementing SDK and API integrations, and coordinating timelines, scope, stakeholders, risks, and technical blockers. The architect also documents requirements and integrations for handoff, supports adoption and success measurement, delivers customer-specific enablement, and contributes to continuous improvement of delivery and technical processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar customer-facing role, preferably in implementations, technical consulting, or customer success, with experience spanning project delivery and hands-on technical work.
  • Strong project management skills and technical depth in APIs, SDKs, or related integration work.
  • Demonstrated interest or hands-on experience with technical concepts such as SaaS, mobile, APIs, marketing automation, analytics, or programming (such as HTML), sufficient to own SDK/API integration workstreams directly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences through video calls, workshops, and written communication.
  • Strong organization, reliability, and project-tracking discipline, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, including diagnosing and resolving project and technical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate, manage conflicting priorities, motivate stakeholders, and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Comfort building with AI tools to accelerate workstreams and improve day-to-day efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Own execution of customer implementation engagements from onboarding through go-live, and provide deep technical solution and integration work as required by each engagement.
  • Design and implement technical solutions, including SDK and API integrations, while managing project timelines, scope, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Engage customer stakeholders at different levels to understand business and technical goals and build relationships across the account.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve project risks and technical blockers.
  • Act as the technical conduit between Braze and customer product and engineering teams, translating requirements into actionable technical plans when technical ownership is needed.
  • Document stakeholder roles, technical requirements, and integration details to support handoff to the Customer Success Manager team.
  • Coordinate with customer agencies and third parties to align them with project goals and timelines.
  • Drive early adoption, establish KPIs and success metrics, and apply best practices to help customers realize time to value.
  • Advocate customer use cases to product development and stay current on Braze platform capabilities, including technical enablement such as Decisioning Studio training.
  • Improve delivery and technical processes, and deliver customer-tailored enablement training and workshops.
  • Maintain the organizational and communication discipline expected of a Delivery Manager alongside the technical depth expected of a Technical Architect.
