About The Position

Salesforce Professional Services is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to serve as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert for large, complex enterprise customers. The role helps customers get long-term value from the Salesforce Platform by planning roadmaps and architecting solutions that are maintainable, adaptable, and minimize technical debt. The architect works with clients, Delivery Managers, and Solution Architects to shape technology solutions and program strategies, while contributing to the consulting practice and the broader Salesforce expert community.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of enterprise architecture or consulting experience.
• At least 4 years of experience leading Salesforce Core projects.
• Strong application design skills, together with data, integration, and security architecture skills.
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to present and defend a point of view to varied audiences.
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies quickly; detail-oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop audience-appropriate materials.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with people in diverse roles.
• Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes using technology and integration.
• Resourceful, innovative problem-solving ability.
• Strong experience with integration concepts, designs, and patterns.
• Demonstrated integrity, transparency, and reliability; collaboration and teamwork; clear, purposeful communication and ability to engage C-level audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; equivalent demonstrable work experience may substitute.
• Ability to explain and advocate for best practices at multiple levels of a large organization.
• Background in application design and development.
• Strong enterprise architecture background.
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or multiple Salesforce Architecture certifications.
• Experience in Consumer Goods Cloud, Consumer Goods Retail Execution, Trade Promotion Management, or the Consumer Goods industry.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Agentforce for Developers, and understanding of their strengths and limitations.
• Experience leading a technical team or workstream and mentoring and developing talent.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, senior technology leaders, and key decision-makers.
• Experience defining and delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform.
• Leadership skills, relationship-building ability, executive presence, and strong storytelling skills.
• Travel may be required depending on client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
• Identify and lead strategic initiatives that grow the consulting practice and contribute to the community’s knowledge and expertise.
• Guide customers and colleagues in evaluating and deploying emerging technologies to increase business value.
• Communicate and teach complex concepts, using collaborative and prescriptive approaches.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, and follow issues through to resolution.
• Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with customers and third-party partners.
• Review and correct project or program direction, approaches, and key artifacts to keep work on track and solutions maintainable and extensible.
• Work with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions that meet client needs.
• Contribute to program vision and advise on strategies involving technologies such as the Salesforce Platform.
