About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. Technicians use a work order management system to receive repair requests and document activities, respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues. The position requires completing safety training and following OSHA and EPA requirements and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The role includes lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights. Compensation is $56,160–$106,080, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus available for select locations. Eligible associates may receive bonus incentives. Walmart provides a work vehicle and tools.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Experience with large-scale rack refrigeration.
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate hand, digital, and power tools and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental procedures.
