About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. Technicians use a work order management system to receive repair orders and document work, respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose problems. The role requires completing safety training and performing work in accordance with applicable OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and working comfortably at heights. The salary range is $56,160–$106,080. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for select locations. Individual compensation depends on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and job-related considerations; the role is also eligible for a bonus incentive. Work vehicle and tools are provided.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, tools, and other equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental procedures.
