About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The technician uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. The role includes responding to work orders and emergency maintenance calls, diagnosing equipment issues, and following safety and environmental requirements. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and working comfortably at heights. A work vehicle and tools are provided. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus currently offered for select locations. Eligible associates may also receive bonus incentives. Compensation packages depend on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities supporting stores and store associates.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in accordance with Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
