Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician
About The Position
Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. Technicians receive and document work through a work order management system, respond to emergency maintenance calls, diagnose equipment issues, and complete required safety training. Work must comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and frequently working at heights. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered at select locations. Individual compensation varies based on candidate-specific factors, and the role is eligible for bonus incentives. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines.
