About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets in Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment. The technician receives and documents work orders through a work order management system, responds promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspects, operates, or tests facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues. The position requires completing safety training and performing work in accordance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart's refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental guidelines. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, moving up and down ladders, and frequently working at heights. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080. Walmart is currently offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for select locations. Eligible associates may receive performance incentive awards. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental procedures.
