About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The role uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. Technicians use a work order management system to receive and document repair work, respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, and inspect, operate, or test equipment and facilities to diagnose issues. They must complete required safety training and follow OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies, and environmental guidelines. The role involves lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights. The listed salary range is $56,160–$106,080. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for select locations. Eligible associates may receive bonus incentives. Walmart provides a work vehicle and tools. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
A valid state-issued driver’s license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities supporting stores and store associates.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies, and environmental guidelines.
