About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs to refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets at Walmart facilities. The technician uses commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete work. The role includes receiving and documenting work orders, responding to emergency maintenance calls, diagnosing equipment issues, completing required safety training, and following OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety and environmental guidelines. The job requires lifting up to 75 pounds, using ladders, and frequently working at heights.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license, a clean driving record, and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.
• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools and equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines and Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety and environmental procedures.
