About The Position

Capgemini is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) Senior Solutions Architect focused on ESM Automation & Platforms to join a solution-selling and deal-capture organization. The role shapes integrated digital workplace solutions intended to improve employee journeys, service experiences, and measurable business outcomes. It operates across enterprise service management, automation, observability, and managed infrastructure transformation, with responsibility for solution strategy spanning pursuits, solution design, transition, and early delivery. The architect translates complex business and operational requirements into scalable, supportable architectures and works across infrastructure services, service management platforms, automation frameworks, integrations, and operational intelligence. The role helps shift delivery toward platform-centric, automation-first, and increasingly agentic service models, while developing reusable patterns and ensuring proposed solutions are technically credible, commercially compelling, and operationally achievable. This is a hybrid role based in North America, with a strong preference for proximity to Capgemini hub locations in New York, Chicago, Dallas, or Atlanta. The posted base compensation range is $124,420–$201,850. Regular, full-time employees may receive benefits according to local policy and eligibility, including paid time off, holidays, personal days, sick leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and employee assistance programs. The role may also be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting proposals, client presentations, workshops, and executive discussions.
  • Deep experience with enterprise service management, ITSM, or ESM platforms, including workflow, incident, problem, change, service request, CMDB, and service operations processes.
  • Strong solution architecture capability across automation, observability, monitoring, and operational intelligence.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure services, including cloud, servers, virtualization, networks, datacenter environments, and operational dependencies.
  • Comfort with APIs, integrations, web services, event-driven patterns, and data exchange standards such as REST, JSON, and SOAP/XML.
  • Strong automation mindset, including workflow automation, orchestration, runbook automation, and infrastructure/application automation concepts.
  • Working knowledge of observability concepts, including metrics, logs, traces, events, service dependency mapping, and proactive operational response.
  • Ability to design technically credible solutions and explain value, tradeoffs, risks, and business outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of security, authentication, certificates, and secure integration practices in enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity and develop structured, scalable approaches.
  • ITIL knowledge and practical familiarity with modern service management and operations models.
  • Typically, 15 or more years of overall IT experience across areas such as infrastructure engineering, service delivery, enterprise tooling, and technical solutioning.
  • A minimum of 3–5 or more years in architecture or solutions architecture roles, with accountability for cross-platform solutions, technical solution direction, or senior technical authority on client-facing opportunities.
  • Relevant experience may include infrastructure operations, service management tooling, automation, integration, observability, managed services delivery or transition, technical presales, and cross-functional modernization work.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience with AIOps, event correlation, anomaly detection, predictive operations, and intelligent automation use cases.
  • Familiarity with platform engineering, everything-as-code, DevOps tooling, and distributed systems concepts applied to infrastructure services.
  • Exposure to digital workers, virtual agents, GenAI-assisted solutioning, or agentic service delivery models.
  • Experience building reusable solution assets such as reference architectures, white papers, business cases, or transformation playbooks.
  • Background supporting managed services transitions, service transformation programs, or operational redesign initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring architects, guiding multidisciplinary teams, or improving team-wide architecture and integration capability.
  • Familiarity with commercial solutioning, deal shaping, effort estimation, and risk identification for complex managed services engagements.
  • Relevant technical certifications in ITSM/ESM platforms, cloud platforms, automation technologies, or observability/monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture for ESM, automation, observability, and platform-based managed services opportunities across the presales, design, transition, and stabilization lifecycle.
  • Translate client business objectives, service requirements, and non-functional needs into scalable tool, platform, and integration architectures.
  • Develop solution approaches spanning ITSM/ESM, workflow automation, event-driven remediation, observability, AIOps, analytics, and digital worker capabilities.
  • Bridge engineering, architecture, sales, and delivery teams to align platform capabilities, roadmap realities, commercial commitments, and implementation plans.
  • Contribute to RFP responses, solution collateral, presentations, and client discussions, combining technical rigor with clear value articulation.
  • Define and govern enterprise-tool integrations using APIs, web services, workflow orchestration, data exchange patterns, and secure automation mechanisms.
  • Support sales-to-delivery handoff by documenting solution assumptions, architecture decisions, dependencies, risks, and operational support requirements.
  • Create reusable reference architectures, patterns, accelerators, playbooks, and design standards to improve solution consistency, speed, and quality.
  • Guide teams in embedding observability, telemetry, event correlation, automation, and operational intelligence into managed service designs.
  • Identify capability gaps, integration risks, and design tradeoffs early, and recommend approaches that balance strategic ambition with delivery feasibility.
  • Mentor architects and solutioning resources, sharing cross-platform knowledge and strengthening architecture, integration, and platform engineering maturity.
  • Help define repeatable methods for outcome-based, automation-led infrastructure services and the evolution of platform-first and agentic service models.

Benefits

  • Paid time off, with vacation of 12–25 days depending on employee grade and policy.
  • Company-paid holidays.
  • Personal days.
  • Sick leave.
  • Medical coverage, dental coverage, and vision coverage, or provincial healthcare coordination in Canada.

  • Life insurance and disability insurance.
  • Employee assistance programs.
  • May be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
