About the position
The Senior Project Planner at KoBold Metals will be responsible for building and managing exploration project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Reporting to the COO, this role will collaborate with regional exploration Field Operations Managers, the Finance Team, and the Chief Strategy Officer. The Senior Project Planner will also engage with third-party partners and vendors to evaluate project planning options. Additionally, this position will involve tracking expenditures, assisting in the preparation of exploration program requests, conducting scenario assessments, and maintaining a global project costs database. A B.A. or B.S. in a quantitative discipline and at least 5 years of experience are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Work with COO, exploration project leads, and Field Operations teams to build and maintain robust, dynamic project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Continuously track expenditures against budgets and update project cost forecasts with the Finance team.
- Assist the leaders of each exploration team in preparing their requests for authorization and budget for their exploration programs.
- Conduct exploration project scenario assessments and contribute to shaping the operations strategy.
- Evaluate cost and schedule implications for different fuel delivery options to remote camps across multiple field seasons.
- Assist in generating cost and schedule estimates for exploration programs for use in opportunity acquisition analysis.
- Build and maintain KoBold's global project costs database.
- Build and maintain central tracking of schedule and budget across KoBold's global portfolio of exploration projects.
- Must have a B.A. or B.S. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering or physical science).
- Must have at least 5 years of experience.
