About the position
KoBold Metals Zambia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing geotechnical studies on the company's properties. Your responsibilities will include developing standard procedures for data collection, analyzing and reporting on geotechnical data, and utilizing automation tools and machine learning capabilities to enhance geotechnical models. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the exploration and resource development efforts of KoBold Metals Zambia.
Responsibilities
- All site activities relating to the collection and interpretation of geotechnical data
- Assist with the development of standard operating procedures
- Conduct drill core
Requirements
- Highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer
- Responsible for planning and executing geotechnical studies on properties
- Develop standard procedures for data collection on drill core
- Analyze and report on geotechnical data
- Work with automation tools such as Boxscan and downhole wireline acoustic televiewer data
- Logging drill core
- Develop machine learning capabilities for geotechnical models
- Conduct all site activities relating to the collection and interpretation of geotechnical data
- Assist with the development of standard operating procedures
