About the position
The Senior Technical Project Manager position at Jenzabar is responsible for managing simple and complex technical projects as part of the Managed Services team. This includes overseeing various projects such as technical consulting requests, application deployments, upgrades, SSO implementations, and customer cloud migrations. The Project Manager will work closely with both the customer and internal resources to develop project timelines, ensure projects stay within scope, and are completed on schedule and within budget. Key responsibilities include preparing project plans, scheduling resources, negotiating timelines, coordinating and managing project execution, and providing timely responses to customer inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a full project plan that includes all tasks and resources required for project delivery
- Schedule resources and identify milestones for project completion, including tasks to be completed by the customer
- Negotiate timelines with the customer effectively
- Coordinate and manage project planning and execution for multiple projects
- Provide timely responses to customer questions
- Manage and communicate information on multiple projects effectively
- Ensure Change Management controls are in place to stay within project scope
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Possess a strong understanding of technical vernacular and technical best practices
- Have at least 7 years of project management experience, preferably in higher education
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and SmartSheet
- Excellent communication skills
