About The Position

McAfee is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own its customer identity platform and end-to-end authentication experience. The role is responsible for how customers create accounts, verify their identities, sign in, remain signed in, and move across web, desktop, mobile, and partner ecosystems. It combines ownership of the underlying identity platform with the customer-facing experience, at the intersection of platform, customer experience, growth, and security. The Senior Product Manager will set and execute a multi-year identity strategy and roadmap that balances security, customer experience, scalability, and business value. The role aims to grow the population of known, authenticated customers globally, improve login success, and modernize the identity stack. It includes ownership of sign-in, sign-up, SSO, MFA, email/OTP verification, passkeys, social login, identity federation, and supporting services, as well as authentication journeys such as account creation, passwordless and cross-device sign-in, returning-customer access, and account recovery. The position partners with Engineering, Security, Design, Data, Customer Support, Core Product, Analytics, and leadership to modernize authentication infrastructure, optimize customer journeys, run experiments, define and monitor authentication metrics, and deliver cohesive identity experiences.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product management experience, including ownership of customer-facing platform or infrastructure products.
  • Strong technical fluency in authentication and identity, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, MFA, identity verification, passkeys/FIDO2, session management, and authentication architecture.
  • Strong analytical mindset and hands-on experience using experimentation and customer data to make decisions.
  • Track record of improving conversion, completion, or adoption in a customer-facing funnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to set strategy and align stakeholders, and strong accountability for outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Set the identity strategy and translate it into a prioritized roadmap with measurable quarterly goals across platform, experience, and growth.
  • Make roadmap and investment decisions that balance security, customer experience, scalability, and business value.
  • Own the customer identity platform, including sign-in, sign-up, SSO, MFA, email/OTP verification, passkeys, social login, identity federation, and underlying services.
  • Drive platform modernization by leading authentication migrations and identity architecture work and bringing passkeys, passwordless authentication, and modern standards into production at scale.
  • Optimize sign-in and sign-up conversion and reduce friction across markets, devices, and products in partnership with Design and Engineering.
  • Grow the number of known, authenticated customers by lowering authentication friction, improving login conversion, and expanding cross-device and returning-customer engagement.
  • Run A/B and multivariate experiments on authentication flows, verification steps, and recovery paths to improve conversion and completion.
  • Balance security and customer experience to protect customers without adding friction that harms conversion or retention.
  • Define authentication metrics, instrument the end-to-end funnel, establish telemetry and observability, and partner with Analytics on dashboards and funnel insights.
  • Set and track authentication KPIs, including login conversion, authentication success and failure, MFA and passkey adoption, SSO utilization, and availability.
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, Design, Data, Customer Support, and Core Product to deliver cohesive identity experiences across the customer lifecycle.
  • Report results transparently to leadership and drive alignment across stakeholders.
