Senior Product Manager, Identity

Anduril•Boston, MA
•$167,000 - $222,000

About The Position

Anduril’s Identity Engineering team builds and operates systems that determine who can access what across the company, including single sign-on (SSO), access requests and reviews, device trust, and related automation. The team serves every Anduril organization, with customer needs ranging from straightforward to highly technical and mission-specific. This is an ownership role, not a support or coordination position. The Senior Product Manager will set the team’s priorities, decide what is built and when, manage competing stakeholder requests, and be accountable for whether shipped products improve users’ experience. The role includes adapting off-the-shelf platforms to Anduril’s workflows, leading major identity initiatives and launches, using operational signals to identify product opportunities, and communicating plans and results to engineering and leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, ideally with identity, access management, or security platform products.
  • A track record of owning a product roadmap and its outcomes.
  • Technical depth sufficient to engage effectively with engineers on identity, access management, and security topics.
  • Strong opinions and the ability to defend product decisions.
  • Care for users’ experience with internal identity tools and responsiveness to users while maintaining firm priorities.
  • Clear, direct written and verbal communication with audiences ranging from individual engineers to executives.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Product experience at an identity vendor or experience running workforce identity programs at a large or fast-growing company.
  • Experience with internal platform products where adoption must be earned or mandated.
  • Experience leading consolidation or standardization across multiple engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted operations or automation, such as ticket triage or self-service agents.

Responsibilities

  • Own the identity roadmap end to end, prioritizing competing requests into near-term, half-year, and out-of-scope decisions.
  • Communicate roadmap decisions directly to stakeholders, explain tradeoffs, and maintain productive relationships when declining requests.
  • Adapt off-the-shelf identity platforms to fit how Anduril teams work rather than relying solely on vendor defaults.
  • Lead flagship initiatives such as role-based access bundles that provide new hires with the access they need through a single request.
  • Run major capability rollouts, including customer communication, change management, pilots, and adoption.
  • Use ticket data and customer feedback to identify problems and convert recurring pain points into roadmap items, self-service, or automation.
  • Write product requirements documents, define success metrics, and report progress to engineering and leadership.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are part of the total compensation package.
  • Comprehensive, competitive benefits package available at little to no cost to employees, supporting health and recovery.
