•$271,070 - $322,840•Onsite

About The Position

As a Senior Product Designer for the Consumer App, you will shape how users navigate and interact with the Roblox platform. The role combines systematic thinking and meticulous craft across the consumer app’s core architecture and navigation, information architecture, native-feeling interaction models across devices, and shared platform features. You will design the ecosystem of UI and controls across the Roblox app and within games. This includes translating 2D interfaces into 3D environments and ensuring adaptive experiences across mobile, desktop, console, and XR. You will shape both the overall vision and detailed design as players and creators move across Roblox surfaces. The position involves partnering with product management, engineering, data science, research, partner teams, and leadership to set UX direction, test ideas, and guide the app’s evolution. For office-based roles, employees are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday unless otherwise noted.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience, including shipped work on navigation, information architecture, or interaction models at platform scale.
  • Strong visual and interaction design craft and fluency in Figma, including auto layout, variables, and components.
  • A track record of UX strategy, including framing ambiguous problems, setting direction, and shipping work with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience designing for mobile, desktop, console, and XR environments.
  • Advanced prototyping skills using Figma, Origami, ProtoPie, or code, including hands-on use of AI tools to explore and prototype faster.
  • Ability to influence without authority across several teams and the judgment to say no while proposing a better alternative.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to tell a compelling story, move stakeholders to action, and document systems precisely.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the app’s core architecture, navigation, and information architecture across mobile, desktop, console, TV, and XR.
  • Define interaction models that account for touch, mouse and keyboard, gamepad, and headset inputs from the beginning of the design process.
  • Set UI architecture and interaction patterns for the app and in-game experiences, providing teams with a clear model for adding features.
  • Design shared platform capabilities that work consistently across every surface.
  • Frame UX problems and set direction with product management, engineering, data science, and research; use A/B tests and research to inform decisions.
  • Influence partner teams so their work fits into the app, and clearly present design reasoning to leadership.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to prototype and test interactions on real devices and inputs, and help the team find faster ways to work.

Benefits

  • Equity compensation for full-time employees.
  • Benefits as described on the company’s benefits page.
