Senior Product Designer

Urban Ridge Supplies•New York, NY

About The Position

Zeta Global is seeking a Senior Product Designer for a six-month contract opportunity. The role will shape experiences across the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP), Athena OS, Agentic Apps, and Data Cloud, moving among areas based on where design work can have the greatest impact. The designer will partner with the design system team and Product and Engineering triads to turn complex platform and data requirements into clear, consistent, useful customer experiences. This position emphasizes data visualization, scalable platform and systems design, AI-driven and agentic interaction patterns, and high-quality UX, visual design, motion, and prototyping. The designer will help improve shared processes and design foundations, guide how data is surfaced and understood, and establish standards that support quality and speed across the product ecosystem. The role also contributes through mentoring, critique, executive stakeholder engagement, and influence across teams without formal management authority.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of product design experience, including meaningful work on complex platforms, systems, or tools.
  • Demonstrated experience leading foundational or platform-level design work that scales across teams, products, or workflows.
  • Hands-on experience designing and shipping features, workflows, or systems within large, complex platforms.
  • Proven ability to design scalable systems, frameworks, and interfaces that support consistency, flexibility, and speed across complex product ecosystems.
  • Deep experience with Figma and AI tools, including structured libraries, reusable patterns, and scalable design foundations.
  • Excellence across UX, visual design, interaction design, and motion, with a strong emphasis on data visualization.
  • Ability to apply data-visualization principles, select appropriate chart types, and prioritize clear communication over decoration.
  • Strong product thinking and ability to articulate the relationship between a problem, user job, system behavior, and outcome.
  • Understanding of animation as a UX tool, including designing motion and micro-interactions that communicate system states, AI progress, confidence, and results.
  • Comfort partnering with engineers, understanding technical constraints, and prototyping in low- or high-fidelity, coded or no-code formats.
  • Ability to influence outcomes through clarity, critique, documentation, and example-setting without formal management authority.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering in fast-paced environments, ideally across multiple product areas or teams.
  • Experience mentoring designers, influencing standards, and shaping how design work scales.
  • Experience presenting and iterating on data visualization or dashboard design with executive stakeholders.
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including scalable component architecture, variants, auto-layout, design tokens, and shared libraries.
  • Hands-on, regular use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar LLMs as part of a design workflow.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted build and prototyping tools such as Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, Claude Code, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend concepts; ability to read code and understand implementation tradeoffs.
  • Comfort with modern product-development workflows and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Jira, Linear, Notion, Slack, and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of data-visualization tools or libraries such as D3, Chart.js, Highcharts, Observable Plot, or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with visualization principles including chart selection, accessible color and encoding, axis and label clarity, and information density for executive reporting.
  • High autonomy, sound judgment, clear communication, comfort with ambiguity, ownership, curiosity about AI, and pragmatic commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with B2B, SaaS, or AI-driven products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Rive, FigJam, and Figma Slides.
  • Familiarity with Storybook and React/Next.js.
  • Experience with Motion.dev, Framer Motion, GSAP, or D3 for micro-animations and stateful interactions.
  • Experience with Figma Prototypes, Framer, ProtoPie, or similar prototyping tools.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), including how context, memory, tools, and agents influence system behavior and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve data-visualization-focused experiences across ZMP, Athena OS, Agentic Apps, and Data Cloud-facing surfaces as priorities shift.
  • Manage and improve shared design processes and provide quality oversight, contributing to consistent, scalable design foundations.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define strategy, scope, and execution, translating complex requirements and technical constraints into intuitive experiences.
  • Iterate on concepts across product areas to address customer use cases.
  • Contribute to AI interaction models, agentic patterns, and Model Context Protocol thinking where relevant.
  • Shape how data from Data Cloud and across the platform is surfaced, visualized, and understood, helping users understand, trust, and act on platform data and systems.
  • Lead by example in visual design, interaction design, motion, prototyping, and data visualization, raising quality in clarity, speed, and polish.
  • Choose appropriate ways to communicate data, including charts, tables, or single numbers, and maintain clarity in experiences for users and executives.
  • Mentor designers, review work, challenge assumptions, and create systems, interfaces, and processes that help scale product design quality.
  • Present data-heavy design work to executive stakeholders, synthesize feedback, and balance it with design best practices and user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, use prototypes to explore and validate complex concepts, and understand implementation tradeoffs.
  • Drive ambiguous design problems to clarity, communicate design rationale, and follow through on outcomes.
