Senior Partner Manager
About The Position
WatchGuard Technologies is seeking a strategic, relationship-focused Senior Partner Manager to drive growth across its partner ecosystem in the MSP and cybersecurity landscape. The role owns the development and management of key partner relationships, including with managed service providers, resellers, and strategic alliances, to accelerate revenue and expand market reach. It enables partner success through onboarding, training, and ongoing support, while collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams on go-to-market initiatives. The position is suited to someone with partner-led growth experience, channel knowledge, and the ability to build trusted relationships that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in channel sales, partner management, account management, or business development within the technology industry.
- Demonstrated success achieving revenue and growth objectives through indirect sales channels.
- Experience managing partner relationships and developing joint business plans.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Motivated, coachable, and competitive, with a resilient drive to succeed.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value-Added Resellers (VARs), System Integrators, or technology distributors.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, cloud, SaaS, or enterprise technology solutions.
- Experience working in a global or multi-regional organization.
- Channel certification or formal partner management training.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain executive and operational relationships with assigned partners.
- Serve as the trusted advisor and primary liaison between the company and partner organizations.
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Drive partner satisfaction and long-term engagement.
- Achieve assigned revenue, pipeline, and partner performance targets.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with partners.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Drive partner participation in sales campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Educate partners on products, services, competitive positioning, and sales strategies.
- Coordinate partner training and certification programs.
- Ensure partners have the tools, resources, and knowledge needed for success.
- Promote adoption of company programs, incentives, and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline reporting.
- Track partner performance against established KPIs.
- Analyze sales trends and recommend growth strategies.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on partner health and business opportunities.
