Senior Paid Media Specialist

Burly Boyz Moving & Storage

About The Position

Burly Boyz Moving is hiring a hands-on Senior Paid Media Specialist to own paid acquisition across Google, Meta, and new channels as the company expands. The Canadian moving company serves local and long-distance customers across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, with paid media representing its largest growth lever and approximately $1M+ in annual spend across multiple cities. The specialist will take over work currently managed by an outside agency, personally run the advertising accounts, set the improvement plan, and manage acquisition end to end from first click to a booked move in the CRM. The role includes day-to-day Google Ads management across Search, Performance Max, YouTube, and Brand campaigns, as well as managing and growing Meta advertising. The specialist will launch campaigns in new cities and service areas, test additional channels, manage budgets and bidding, and audit and improve account performance. They will also own paid landing pages, conversion tracking, offline conversion uploads, and weekly reporting by city and campaign. The specialist will work with SEO and digital media teammates to coordinate paid, organic, and Google Business Profile efforts, and with sales to improve lead quality and optimize toward booked moves. During the first 90 days, they will take over and audit accounts, fix tracking and campaign issues, test landing pages, scale what works, launch a new-channel test, and set targets for the following two quarters. Success is measured by booked moves and cost-related outcomes rather than clicks.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on paid media management experience.
  • At least $500K per year in advertising spend under direct management.
  • Expertise in Google Ads, including Search, Performance Max, bidding strategies, conversion goals, and offline conversion imports.
  • Strong Meta Ads skills, including the pixel, Conversions API, and lead-generation campaigns.
  • A demonstrated record of auditing an account and lowering cost per acquisition; candidates should be able to explain a before-and-after example.
  • Experience building and testing landing pages.
  • Comfort with basic HTML/CSS, a page builder, or both.
  • Solid tracking skills, including Google Tag Manager, GA4, UTMs, click IDs, and passing these into a CRM.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and data, and explaining the meaning of results in plain language.

Nice To Haves

  • Google Ads certification.
  • Experience with Claude, Meta, and other AI tools for analysis, ad copy, reporting, or automation.
  • Salesforce experience, especially lead and opportunity attribution.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Make or Zapier.
  • Lead-generation experience for local or multi-location service businesses, such as moving, home services, or trades.
  • Experience with Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, or other emerging channels.
  • Experience running ads across multiple cities or provinces.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Google Ads day to day, including Search, Performance Max, YouTube, and Brand campaigns across 10+ city and service campaigns.
  • Manage Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Ads and grow Meta into a substantial second channel.
  • Launch campaigns in new cities and service areas, including market research, geo-targeting, budgets, landing pages, and tracking.
  • Test and launch new channels such as Microsoft Ads, TikTok, and ChatGPT ads, with a test plan and kill rule for each.
  • Own budgets, bidding strategies, keywords, negative keywords, match types, audiences, and ad copy; make and document deliberate budget changes.
  • Audit every account during the first month, assessing structure, wasted spend, search terms, quality score, impression share lost to rank, and conversion setup.
  • Lower cost per lead and cost per booked job while protecting volume, and improve return on ad spend in each market.
  • Run structured tests on ads, landing pages, and bidding, and report the winning results.
  • Take over paid landing pages at lp.burlyboyzmoving.com, including building, editing, A/B testing, and fixing pages.
  • Ensure forms, UTMs, and click IDs such as gclid and fbclid pass correctly into the CRM on every landing page.
  • Own conversion tracking across Google tag, Meta pixel, Meta Conversions API, and offline conversion uploads from Salesforce to Google and Meta.
  • Maintain the automations behind offline conversion uploads and detect silent failures.
  • Send weekly performance reports by city and campaign covering spend, leads, cost per lead, booked jobs, cost per booking, and ROAS.
  • Coordinate with SEO and digital media teammates so paid, organic, and Google Business Profile efforts support each other.
  • Work with sales on lead quality and optimize toward booked moves rather than form fills.
  • Within the first 30 days, obtain access to accounts, landing pages, and automations, learn how they work, and deliver a written audit ranking the top 10 fixes by dollar impact.
  • By days 31–60, improve tracking and offline conversions, reduce identified waste, restructure the weakest campaigns, and launch initial landing-page tests.
  • By days 61–90, shift budget toward markets with the best cost per booking, launch one new-channel test, and set targets for the next two quarters.
