About The Position
The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implementing processes that optimize warehouse operations. The role leads and develops Supervisors and indirect reports, supports a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to operational success and customer satisfaction. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities and over 150 million square feet of warehouse space, with more than 50,000 associates. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement in a business-casual environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports, and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to improve productivity and operational efficiency while reducing costs.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and promote heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on Supervisor hiring, providing input and recommendations to help select candidates aligned with organizational values, culture, and job requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
