About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of DHL Supply Chain warehouses. The role leads teams, develops and implements processes to optimize warehouse operations, promotes a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to the success of DHL Supply Chain’s contract logistics business. The position involves working with supervisors, associates, customers, Human Resources, site leadership, and cross-functional teams. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement in a business-casual environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports while building an inclusive team culture.
Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
Promote compliance with health and safety regulations and strengthen safety awareness.
Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decisions and continuous improvement.
Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on hiring Supervisors, providing input and recommendations to support candidate selection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
Build strong customer partnerships and address concerns or issues to achieve customer satisfaction.
