About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses. The role implements processes to optimize warehouse operations and leads the team in a safe, productive environment, contributing to the success of DHL Supply Chain’s contract logistics operations. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities, with over 50,000 associates across more than 150 million square feet of warehouse space. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement in a business-casual environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports while fostering an inclusive team culture.
Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, standardized processes, and best practices to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
Uphold health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness.
Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on hiring Supervisors, providing input and recommendations to support talent selection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled consistently and promptly.
Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve customer satisfaction.
