About The Position
The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implementing processes to optimize warehouse operations. The role leads and develops a team, promotes a safe and productive work environment, and supports the operational success of the organization. It offers the opportunity to contribute to DHL Supply Chain’s contract logistics operations. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities and over 150 million square feet of warehouse space, with more than 50,000 associates. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement, and has a business-casual environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports while building a team culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to improve productivity and operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on Supervisor hiring, providing input and recommendations to support candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
