About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of DHL Supply Chain warehouses. The role leads teams, implements processes to optimize warehouse operations, fosters a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to the success of the organization. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities, employs over 50,000 associates, and manages over 150 million square feet of warehouse space.

Requirements

At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, coach, guide, and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Uphold health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.
Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support informed decisions and continuous improvement.
Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on the hiring process for Supervisors, providing input and recommendations on candidate selection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly, exceeding customer expectations.
Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
