About The Position
The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses. The role leads teams, implements processes to optimize warehouse operations, supports a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to operational success and customer satisfaction. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities and over 150 million square feet of warehouse space, with more than 50,000 associates. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement in a business-casual environment. A preferred internal candidate has been identified, but all qualified candidates will be considered for this role and future opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports, fostering inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plans, standardized processes, and best practices to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Uphold health and safety compliance and foster heightened safety awareness.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on hiring Supervisors, providing input and recommendations on candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers to address concerns and issues and achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
