About The Position
The Senior Operations Manager (Operations Manager I) at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implementing processes to optimize warehouse operations. The role leads and develops teams, fosters a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to the operational success of DHL Supply Chain. The position works with site leadership, Human Resources, cross-functional teams, and customers to support effective warehouse operations and customer satisfaction. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities, employs over 50,000 associates, and manages over 150 million square feet of warehouse space. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement, and maintains a business-casual environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports through coaching, guidance, and support, while fostering inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Uphold compliance with health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration among leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on the hiring process for Supervisors, providing input and recommendations on candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and address concerns or issues to support exceptional customer satisfaction.
