Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer

NVIDIA•Santa Clara, CA
•$168,000 - $310,500

About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Mixed-Signal/Analog/IO Circuit Design Engineer to join a growing group responsible for high-speed memory interface designs. The role involves designing mixed-signal and analog circuits for high-speed memory I/O interfaces, addressing circuit development challenges in deep-submicron CMOS FinFET processes, and taking designs through productization and all stages of development. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs.

Requirements

  • BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of well-rounded high-speed memory (LPDDR, DDR, GDDR, HBM) or SerDes-related design experience.
  • Experience with system-level timing budgets, specifications, and analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of deep-submicron CMOS FinFET processes and circuit design issues.
  • Familiarity with device reliability, ESD, and latch-up requirements.
  • Broad circuit design and implementation knowledge, with significant depth.
  • Strong background with Cadence custom design tools and circuit simulators such as Hspice, XA, FineSim, and Spectre.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of package substrate, board design, and power delivery.
  • Solid understanding of Verilog, Nanotime, and Matlab.
  • Hands-on experience with lab test and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Build mixed-signal and analog circuits for high-speed memory I/O interfaces.
  • Solve circuit development challenges in deep-submicron CMOS FinFET processes.
  • Take designs through productization and participate in all stages of development.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize designs.
  • Lead layout development and understand ESD, latch-up, and reliability rules.
