About The Position

The Senior Manager, Technology Operations will provide strategic leadership for supply chain strategy at Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). This analytical leader will help speed up and scale the fulfillment network by defining and delivering optimal solutions for inventory distribution, operational flows, and asset design. The role connects multiple areas of the business, including technology and seller sentiment, and leads cross-functional technology work, shapes processes, and influences outcomes at scale. The position is part of the WFS Supply Chain Strategy team, which optimizes assets, processes, and inventory flow to support immediate execution and long-term goals. The team collaborates across departments and with leaders and stakeholders to improve communication, alignment, business readiness, decision-making, and enterprise-wide performance. Its work includes program management, stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, and technology strategy in support of Walmart’s ecommerce platform for third-party sellers.

Requirements

Strong analytical skills, including advanced SQL experience.
Ability to evaluate tradeoffs and use data to guide team decision-making.
Proven expertise in program and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across multiple projects.
Strong knowledge of technology strategies and ability to align business unit requirements with technology solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs using established program management frameworks and tools.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to influence and build consensus across teams.
Experience in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and performance monitoring to ensure program success.
Ability to develop business cases with clear ROI and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or a related area and 5 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area; or 7 years of experience in one of those areas.
2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Lead program management activities by defining goals, deliverables, and schedules for multiple complex projects aligned with strategic objectives.
Model and analyze strategic decisions for WFS supply chain strategy and advise the business.
Identify opportunities to improve the speed, cost, and scale of the WFS business.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business Operations to drive operational strategy and process improvements.
Integrate automation, AI, or platform capabilities to improve efficiency.
Oversee financial management, including budgeting, cost monitoring, and resource allocation across programs.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, communicating effectively to influence decisions and build consensus.
