About The Position

The Senior Manager, Technology Operations, leads the planning and execution of complex technology programs aligned with strategic business objectives. The role oversees financial management, risk mitigation, and performance tracking across multiple projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and delivery. It requires strong stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technology solutions. Through collaboration and continuous improvement, the Senior Manager supports operational excellence and innovation, helping advance Walmart’s technology capabilities.

The position is part of the Order Lifecycle team, which works to provide a seamless and reliable customer order experience from placement through fulfillment. The team brings together merchandise, technology, operations, and analytics expertise to improve order accuracy, expand customer controls, prevent issues, reduce customer effort, and deliver dependable experiences at Walmart’s scale.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in program and financial management, including budgeting and cost monitoring for multiple projects.
• Ability to define program goals, deliverables, and schedules aligned with strategic objectives.
• Strong knowledge of technology strategies and their application to business domains.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, including building relationships and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in performance metrics, risk assessment, and program monitoring tools.
• Excellent business communication skills and ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Leadership experience driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or a related area, and 5 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area.
• Option 2: 7 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or a related area, and 4 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, including knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines.
